Dissemination of information

The INEGI offers statistical and geographical information that can be consulted and downloaded, it has a great thematic diversity and different levels of disaggregation, and it is completely free of charge. To provide access to information, it offers the following customer services to the public:

  • The INEGI's website (www.inegi.org.mx), which presents the information in various formats for the general public and users with different degrees of specialization.
  • 10 INEGI Information Centers, distributed throughout the national territory, where free advice and access to all products is provided. You can check their addresses on the INEGI website.
  • The External Query Network program is made up of affiliated information units such as libraries, information centers, documentation centers and map libraries throughout the country where the free information service is provided. The Network has a total of 516 Information Units, of which 415 belong to higher education or research institutions.
  • Also, the free consultation service is available by phone, at 800 111 46 34, as well as by email at: atencion.usuarios@inegi.org.mx.
To promote the understanding and use of statistical and geographical information in society, the INEGI holds conferences, seminars and workshops for different types of audiences with different fields of expertise. It also participates in various forums, fairs and exhibitions throughout the country and gives guided tours of its headquarters, located in the city of Aguascalientes, to make known the activities developed by this Institute.
