Presentación Global Index of Remunerations of the Economic Sectors (IGRESE) 2013

In this sense, it is relevant to have an indicator of employed personnel drawn from the demand approach, meaning, that it facilitates the identification of evolution trends of remunerations that economic units require to carry out their productive processes, while contributing to the strengthening of the statistical infrastructure of the country in the topic of employment.
The available statistical series of the IGRESE begins in January 2008. The index will be updated every month in accordance with the Dissemination Calendar of statistical and geographical information and of National Interest of the INEGI.
In later years, labor statistics were strengthened through various surveys, which increasingly presented higher levels of representativeness, as well as the implementation of new international recommendations.
In terms of the generation of employment indicators from the demand approach, there is no precedent in the country. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS for its acronym in English), has been generating for decades the indicator called Nonfarm Payroll Employment, which is used to measure the non-agricultural employed personnel in the payroll of said country, such as the remunerations indicator associated with this one. Such indicators, for their characteristics, represent the main conceptual reference for the calculation of IGRESE.
The variable involved in the calculations is the total employed personnel that considers the dependent personnel as the non-dependent personnel of the company name.
Once the monthly reported wage bill is reported monthly by the National Economic Surveys (National Survey of Construction Companies, Monthly Survey of the Manufacturing Industry, Monthly Survey on Commercial Enterprises and Monthly Survey of Services), as well as information from the establishments regarding the Manufacturing Industry, Maquila and Export Services (IMMEX) program, the process of integration of the sources is carried out, in order to have the main input required in the generation of IGRESE.
To calculate the weighted average applied in each sector, the representativeness of each of them was taken in the total Gross Census Value Added of the Economic Censuses 2014.
Data deflation: In order to obtain the real wage bill, the current values are deflated with the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) Base Second Half of July 2018 = 100 rebased to 2013 = 100.
